The rules of the corner
There is no desk in it. There is no cable within reach. There is a lamp bright enough to read by at ten at night and a small table for a glass of water. Everything else is deliberately missing.
Rooms teach you what to do in them. A chair that has only ever been used for reading becomes very hard to sit in for anything else, and that quiet pressure does more work than any amount of resolve.
It does not need to be a room
Mine was a landing for two years. The corner is not about square footage, it is about a single spot that means one thing.
